Installing Scripts via Fantastico in cPanel

Manually installing scripts can be a slow, painful process when you are new to the whole web-design game. You just want to get wordpress installed as quickly as you can and start doing the real work. You’re in luck. There are companies out here that had you in mind the whole time. Fantastico Deluxe is a product made by one such company. Fanstico allows you to install any one of 50+ scripts in a matter of seconds. Just fill out the required information and click submit. It will take care of the rest.

Get started by clicking the ‘Fantastico De Luxe’ icon in the ‘Software/Services’ section of your cPanel.

Note: Not all webhosting companies use Fantastico, though most would at least have a similar program available.

On the left hand side of the Fantastico screen, you will see a list of every script that can be installed. From this list, select what you wish to install by clicking on it. In the white section (middle of the page) click on ‘New Installation’. Now, you will fill out the information that is required in order to install your script. When you are ready, hit the ‘Install’button at the bottom.

Your script has now been installed and you will be given the links to the main site, as well as the administrative back end.
